Good Hope FM Drops Fresh 2026 Line-Up

Good Hope FM’s New Line-Up Is the Beat the Mother City Moves To

Good Hope FM, Cape Town’s Original, has officially unveiled its 2026 on-air line-up — a refined yet powerful refresh that stays true to the station’s identity while amplifying the rhythm, culture and character of the Mother City.

With only a handful of strategic updates, the station continues to build on its winning formula: trusted voices, strong personalities and a sound that mirrors the heartbeat of Cape Town. The result is a line-up that balances heritage with fresh energy, positioning Good Hope FM as the city’s most authentic lifestyle companion.

Familiar Voices Return, Stronger Than Ever

One of the most anticipated moments in the new line-up is the return of Mishka Loesch to The Roger Goode Breakfast Show (weekdays 06h00 – 09h00). After spending time with her newborn and family, Mishka steps back into her role as news and traffic presenter, restoring the dynamic chemistry alongside Roger Goode.

Afternoons also get a welcome boost with Morgan Newman rejoining The Great Drive (15h00 – 18h00) as sport presenter, bringing a sharper, more localised sporting perspective to the show.

A Major Evening Highlight

A standout addition to the 2026 schedule is the return of Stephanie Be, who joins the station after an impressive 13-year run at 5FM.

Starting 6 April, she takes over Late Nights with Stephanie Be (Monday to Thursday, 21h00 – 00h00). The show promises a smooth, modern late-night experience — blending chilled music, reflective conversations and her signature energy, making it the perfect companion for unwinding after a long day.

Fresh Sounds for the Weekend Wind-Down

Sundays also get a refreshing update with Michaela Muller stepping into After Hours with Michaela Muller (22h00 – 01h00). The show offers a laid-back close to the weekend, featuring trending topics, inspiration for the week ahead and a softer, more introspective Cape Town sound.

Meanwhile, Saturdays see a behind-the-scenes upgrade as Lorenzo Darries joins as producer for Play-By-Play, enhancing the station’s sports offering with sharper production and deeper local insight.

Consistency Remains Key

While the updates bring fresh excitement, much of the line-up remains unchanged — a deliberate move that reinforces listener trust and consistency. Popular shows like The Morning Show with Leigh-Anne Williams and The Lunch Club with Carissa Cupido and Chad Saaiman continue to anchor the daytime schedule.

Drive time remains in the capable hands of Khanya “Kyeezi” Siyengo and Celest Anthony, while evening and weekend slots maintain the vibrant mix of music, talk and lifestyle content listeners have come to love.

A Line-Up Built for Connection

According to Masi Mdingane, Business Manager for Good Hope FM and 5FM, the approach for 2026 is intentional:

“We’ve made minimal changes to a line-up that sees increasingly more people tuning in and staying tuned. We’re bringing listeners more of the flavour they love — investing in trusted, informed and entertaining personalities, strong local storytelling and a sound that reflects Cape Town’s unique rhythm.”

The Soundtrack of the Mother City

As the station continues to evolve, its mission remains clear: to connect, inspire and move its audience while staying deeply rooted in Cape Town’s identity.

Listeners can tune in across the Western Cape, stream live, or catch exclusive content via the Good Hope FM app and SABC Plus.

With its refreshed yet familiar line-up, Good Hope FM proves once again why it remains the true beat to which the Mother City moves.
