The SN Project Returns to Artistry with an Intimate Live Showcase on 9 August

9 August 2025 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Following the critically acclaimed release of Pantomime Vol. 1 earlier this year, Siphephelo Ndlovu – known as The SN Project – is returning to the stage for a special Women’s Month performance at Artistry, Johannesburg’s premier cultural venue, on Saturday, 9 August at 7 PM. The performance promises to be an intimate journey through sound, storytelling, and emotion as the artist unveils material from his forthcoming EP, Pantomime Vol. 2.

Renowned for his evocative compositions, lush sonic landscapes, and heartfelt lyricism, The SN Project has established himself as a singular voice in South Africa’s contemporary music scene. This show will mark his first live showcase of new music since the release of Pantomime Vol. 1, a deeply personal project exploring themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

A Musical Journey Rooted in Duality

Siphephelo Ndlovu’s musical journey began at the prestigious Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School, where his early love for music was nurtured. Later, he pursued formal training at the University of the Witwatersrand, earning a Bachelor of Music with Honours in 2017. Under the mentorship of celebrated South African musicians such as David Cousins, Andre Petersen, and Carlo Mombelli, he honed a unique style rooted in authenticity and cultural depth.

Hailing from both Johannesburg and Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, The SN Project’s work beautifully fuses the structured freedom of jazz with the harmonic poetry of isiZulu musical traditions. This fusion was first fully realized on his debut album, Afrikanization (2020), an ambitious work that redefined the African jazz experience for global audiences.

Pantomime Vol. 1 and Beyond

Released in early 2025, Pantomime Vol. 1 showcased The SN Project’s talents not only as a performer but also as a producer. The EP blends neo-soul grooves, cinematic textures, and layered production with heartfelt storytelling. A highlight of the EP is “I Just Wanna”, a hauntingly beautiful duet with Zoë Modiga, which explores the complexities of unspoken emotional truths in relationships.

Pantomime Vol. 2 promises to continue this sonic narrative—deeper, rawer, and even more emotionally resonant. Attendees at the 9 August event will be the first to experience the next chapter in this bold two-part series.

Don’t Miss This One-Night-Only Experience

Set in the intimate and artistically charged environment of Artistry, this performance offers fans a rare opportunity to experience The SN Project up close. As South Africa celebrates Women’s Month, the evening will also serve as a tribute to the emotional power and creative strength of feminine energy—an undercurrent that flows through The SN Project’s latest works.

Follow The SN Project and stay tuned for the official release date of Pantomime Vol. 2—a sonic diary from one of South Africa’s most compelling contemporary voices.
