PUMA has expanded its acclaimed road-running lineup with the introduction of the all-new Deviate Pure NITRO™, a lightweight, non-plated performance shoe designed to bring speed and efficiency to everyday training runs.

Officially launched globally on 4 June 2026, the Deviate Pure NITRO™ fills a key gap within PUMA’s award-winning Deviate franchise. Unlike its carbon-plated sibling, the Deviate NITRO™ 4, the new model strips speed back to its essentials, delivering a natural and responsive ride without the use of PUMA’s PWRPLATE technology.

Built around an evolved version of PUMA’s innovative NITROFOAM™ cushioning, the shoe is engineered to provide runners with a smooth, energetic experience that makes every kilometre feel effortless. The result is a training companion that offers a balance of comfort, responsiveness and efficiency, making it ideal for tempo runs and daily mileage.

One of the standout features of the Deviate Pure NITRO™ is its exceptionally lightweight construction. Weighing just 220 grams in a men’s UK size 8 and 180 grams in a women’s UK size 4.5, it comes in approximately 30 grams lighter than the Deviate NITRO™ 4. This reduction in weight helps runners maintain speed while reducing fatigue during longer sessions.

The upper features an engineered mesh design that promotes breathability and airflow, while a plush collar and padded tongue provide additional comfort and support. Underfoot, PUMA’s renowned PUMAGRIP outsole delivers dependable traction across varying road conditions, helping runners stay confident and in control regardless of the weather.
