Fashion’s Most Wanted Top 30 Are Officially in Custody
Proudly South Africa has officially unveiled the Top 30 finalists for the 2025 Local Fashion Police (LFP), marking a significant milestone in celebrating the country’s homegrown fashion talent.

After meticulously reviewing thousands of entries, a nine-member forensic adjudication team has shortlisted 30 contestants who will compete for a share of R350,000 in local fashion prizes. Additionally, finalists will have the unique opportunity to walk the runway in original designs from one of seven coveted local brands represented by the judges.

Now in its fifth year, the Local Fashion Police has grown to become a benchmark for sartorial excellence, highlighting the creativity, originality, and dynamism of South Africa’s fashion industry. The 2025 judging panel includes some of the country’s most respected designers and fashion entrepreneurs:
- Tshepo Mohlala, founder of Tshepo Jeans
- Designer Asanda Madyibi
- Nobukhosi “Khosi” Mukwevho and Thabo Mukwevho, co-founders of Khosi Nkosi
- Londeka Buthelezi Ndaba, founder of Malondié
- Stephen Van Eeden of Stephen Van Eeden Atelier
- Thandazani Nofingxana of Abantu in Africa
- Prince and Warren Meko (Meko twins), founders of Madonsela

The 30 finalists, listed in no particular order, are:
