Betway and Betway Cares Partner with Scorpion Kings Live to Empower SA Youth through the 100 Lives Initiative

In an inspiring fusion of music, culture, and social impact, Betway and the Betway Cares Foundation have partnered with Scorpion Kings Live with Friends to launch the 100 Lives Initiative — a youth-focused internship programme set to transform lives and build careers in the entertainment industry.

Unveiled ahead of the much-anticipated Scorpion Kings Live with Friends concert, headlined by DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, this initiative will give 100 young South Africans, aged 18 to 28, the opportunity to work behind the scenes of a world-class stadium show.

Hands-On Industry Experience

From production and logistics to communications and artist relations, interns will be placed directly within the engine room of the event’s operations, gaining real-world experience as they help bring one of the country’s biggest Amapiano events to life.

Applications are open now: Young people can apply by sending their CV and a short motivational letter to

More Than Just Experience – A Path to the Future

In addition to valuable work experience, select interns will receive bursaries, further reinforcing Betway and Betway Cares‘ commitment to uplifting youth and creating lasting social change.

“The 100 Lives Initiative is about opening doors to real skills, real experience, and access to real opportunities,”.

said Bakang Lethoko, Head of Betway Cares Foundation

A Cultural Movement

For DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, this partnership transcends the concert stage:

“This isn’t just a show — it’s a movement. Partnering with Betway means we’re not only creating an unforgettable night of music but also helping build the future of South African entertainment.”
