adidas Originals and Sporty & Rich Celebrate Court Nostalgia with New Collection

From the court to the street, adidas’ performance-driven designs have long transcended their athletic roots, evolving into cultural icons that shape global lifestyle trends. In their latest collaboration, adidas Originals and Emily Oberg’s Sporty & Rich return to celebrate the timeless appeal of off-court tennis aesthetics with a nostalgic collection that blends archival sport style with modern sensibility.

This new drop pays homage to vintage court fashion, reinterpreted through the lens of Sporty & Rich’s signature minimalism and wellness-inspired aesthetic. At the heart of the collaboration are two standout sneaker silhouettes, each representing a different chapter in adidas’ storied history.

First up is the ADIZERO ADIOS Sporty & Rich, a 2000s-inspired runner reimagined in a lifestyle context. It features a sleek two-tone mesh upper, gradient three stripes, an ADIPRENE outsole for comfort, and subtle Sporty & Rich co-branding. Offered in midnight navy and metallic green, the silhouette blends retro functionality with contemporary elegance.

Then there’s the adidas Originals Blanc Sporty & Rich, a nod to the 70s with its streamlined silhouette and timeless construction. Available in two inverted styles—white leather with green suede stripes and green suede with white leather stripes—each pair is finished with nostalgic tennis racket lace charms and co-branded details for a true throwback feel.

Complementing the footwear, the apparel collection delivers a refined take on court classics. Key pieces include a preppy polo, a graphic tee, and a heavy knit sweater, each echoing the effortless sophistication of tennis culture. Accessories complete the look with a classic canvas tote and vintage-inspired caps, ideal for both sporty moments and laid-back street style.

The adidas Originals x Sporty & Rich collection officially launches on 30 May at the Sandton Halo store and the adidas South Africa online store, with retail prices ranging from R1899 to R2699.
