Oliver Lutz’s Calamari Fantasy: A Visionary Jazz Album

Renowned for his innovative electric bass playing, Oliver Lutz embarks on an adventurous sonic journey with Calamari Fantasy. Set for release on 25 April 2025, the album fuses jazz, funk, fusion, and experimental sounds, creating an immersive listening experience. With a lineup featuring Tineke Postma (saxophone), Pablo Held (keyboards), and Peter Gall (drums), Lutz crafts a bold and cinematic soundscape that bridges groove and atmosphere.

A Creative Leap in Composition

Over the past three years, Lutz has honed his skills as a composer, shifting his approach by writing on electric bass and guitar. The result is a collection of tracks that move fluidly between structured arrangements and spontaneous improvisation.

A Live Energy Captured in Studio

Recorded at Fattoria Musica in Osnabrück, Calamari Fantasy embodies the raw, collective energy of a live band pushing creative limits. Backed by Initiative Musik, the album benefits from meticulous production while preserving the organic interplay of its musicians.
