Vientos llegan by Yamil, G.Zamora

Yamil is a Spanish artist who has excelled at crafting moving house sounds on the likes of Sol Selectas and MoBlack while headlining plenty of key festival stages. A chance meeting in Malaga in 2020 led to the start of a creative friendship with producer and percussionist G.Zamora. He has studied ancient African and Latin American rhythms for over 20 years and brings ancestral folklore to his work.

Together, the pair excel here with ‘Vientos Ilegan’ which rides on vast, cavernous kick drums. Their warmth envelops you as gentle chords, hypnotic chants and Afro percussion all speak to the soul. It’s a cultured cut that brings an authentic sense of joy and celebration of life.
