30 December @ 4:00 pm – 31 December @ 2:00 am
Cape Town is set for a major Amapiano summer moment when PIANO PEOPLE ON THE BEACH takes over Cabo Beach on 30 December 2026.
Following Piano People’s successful debut at the venue, the event returns with a star-studded line-up designed to bring together music, sunshine, ocean views and the unmistakable energy of South Africa’s biggest sound.
The Scorpion Kings Lead the Charge
Headlining the Cape Town celebration are Scorpion Kings, Focalistic and Dlala Thukzin, joined by Scotts Maphuma & Bob Mabena, Sam Deep, W4DE, Ca Ma Gu, Not A She, Notmah and Vvsami.
The result is a line-up built for the festive season — moving between soulful grooves, dancefloor-heavy Amapiano and the sounds shaping South Africa’s current musical landscape.
Amapiano Meets the Cape Town Summer
The choice of Cabo Beach gives Piano People on the Beach its own identity.
While the Johannesburg edition brings the genre into the raw urban atmosphere of Old Park Station, the Cape Town event swaps city streets for the shoreline.
Think Amapiano, ocean views, summer energy and a sunset setting — all coming together just before the year ends.
A Global Sound Comes Home
Piano People has helped take Amapiano to audiences around the world, but bringing the movement back to South Africa remains central to its identity.
Cape Town’s 30 December celebration is therefore more than a festive-season party. It is part of a wider cultural moment in which South African music continues to influence dance floors far beyond the country’s borders.
For anyone looking for a major Cape Town summer event in 2026, Piano People on the Beach is shaping up to be one of the city’s standout year-end celebrations.
Tickets and tables are available via Piano People’s official ticketing platform.
