Where the Golden Egg Finds You: SABC Stars Head to Emperors Palace for Joburg’s Biggest Easter Weekend
This Easter, Peermont is flipping the script on tradition at Emperors Palace with a bold new campaign that promises unforgettable moments. Built around the concept “Where the Golden Egg Finds You,” the experience invites guests to step into a world where the excitement comes to them.
Taking place from 3 to 6 April 2026, the Easter Royale is set to transform Johannesburg’s entertainment scene into a vibrant playground of surprises, celebrity appearances, and immersive experiences — making it one of the city’s most anticipated long weekend events.
At its core, the campaign reimagines Easter as more than just a celebration — it becomes a journey of unexpected, shareable moments. From spontaneous encounters to interactive installations, every corner of the venue offers something new, ensuring guests stay engaged and entertained throughout their visit.
Adding to the buzz is a dynamic lineup of SABC personalities who bring star power and cultural relevance to the experience. Guests can look forward to appearances from Somizi Mhlongo, whose signature flair promises to elevate the festivities, alongside Mpho Popps, delivering laughter and energy.
Also joining the celebration are Zanele Potelwa and Kuhle Adams, who will give fans an insider look into the weekend’s highlights. Meanwhile, Palesa Tembe will help capture and share key moments, extending the experience beyond the event itself.
Visitors can expect a rich mix of activities and attractions, including:
- Interactive Easter experiences, featuring roaming Easter Bunny engagements
- High-energy entertainment and live performances
- A variety of dining, leisure, and social experiences across the complex
- Surprise-and-delight moments designed for sharing and social buzz
“This campaign is about creating moments people don’t expect. Easter at Emperors Palace isn’t just something you attend — it’s something that happens to you.”
says Irvin Nkosi, Promotions and Entertainment Manager at Peermont
Beyond the festivities, Easter Royale forms part of Peermont’s broader vision to position Emperors Palace as a fully integrated entertainment destination — where gaming, hospitality, and live experiences seamlessly come together.
With its blend of celebrity energy, immersive entertainment, and spontaneous magic, this year’s Easter celebration is set to deliver an unforgettable long weekend. Whether you’re planning ahead or simply following the moment, Emperors Palace is shaping up to be Johannesburg’s ultimate Easter hotspot.
