South Africa’s thriving Amapiano scene is about to witness a powerful new chapter as Mathye, widely known as Murumba Pitch, steps out as a solo artist with his debut 4-track EP, Emmanuel (God Is With Us). Known as one-half of the chart-topping duo Murumba Pitch, Mathye is now carving his own lane, unveiling a more personal and experimental side of his artistry.
Over the years, Murumba Pitch has become a household name in the genre, collaborating with some of the biggest names in South African music, including Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, and Kelvin Momo. With this solo project, Mathye proves his versatility and vision, infusing his signature soulful touch with forward-thinking Afro-Tech and 3-Step elements.

Emmanuel (God Is With Us) is more than just a collection of tracks—it’s a statement of growth and individuality. The project reflects Mathye’s duality as a producer: rooted in tradition yet unafraid to push boundaries. It is both a celebration of his roots and a bold exploration of new sonic directions, offering fans a deeper look into his creative identity.
