Thuli P Drops Debut EP Avana

MULTI-HYPHENATE THULI P UNVEILS DEBUT EP AVANA, OUT NOW

Soweto-born actress, DJ and media personality Thuli P officially steps into her music era with the release of her debut EP, Avana, out today, January 23, 2026. Widely recognised for her role as Namhla Diale on Generations: The Legacy, Thuli P now turns the spotlight inward, confidently claiming her place in the male-dominated Private School Amapiano space with intention, style and emotional depth.

Avana is a carefully curated five-track project that blends mid-tempo amapiano grooves with personal storytelling, cultural authenticity and a clear awareness of digital-era virality. Rather than positioning herself as a crossover celebrity experiment, Thuli P arrives as a fully formed musical force—grounded in self-expression, community and sonic elegance.

The EP is anchored by its lead single, “Kube Kuya Ngam” (translated as “If it were up to me”), a powerful affirmation of hope, prosperity and peace. Featuring Pronic DeMusiq and Tman Xpress, the anthemic track rides on bass-heavy production layered with gospel-inspired refrains, as the trio collectively manifest abundance, healing and well-being.

Across the project, Thuli P collaborates with a dynamic lineup of artists who help shape the EP’s textured soundscape. Highlights include Kay Invictus, Nia Pearl and Leandra Vert on “Mali”, as well as Omit ST, Lioness Ratang and Umthakathi Kush on “Molo”. The reflective “No Need To Suffer”, featuring Pcee, further reinforces the EP’s emotional and spiritual undertones. Each collaboration adds nuance, while Thuli P remains firmly at the centre of the narrative.

With Avana, Thuli P doesn’t just introduce herself as a recording artist—she emerges as a tastemaker and storyteller, bringing softness, strength and introspection into amapiano’s evolving Private School lane. It’s a debut defined by confidence, clarity and a clear readiness to take up space.

Avana is available now on all major digital streaming platforms.
