This is no longer simply a weekend of watching golf. The former first hole will instead become the Gary Player Country Club’s first dedicated practice range. \n\n\n\nThe upgrades don’t stop there. New professional tees\, refurbished bunkers\, an enlarged dam on the second hole and a newly opened waterfall view from the ninth are intended to challenge the world’s best while preserving the personality of one of South Africa‘s most recognisable golf courses. \n\n\n\nEssentially\, the tournament has refreshed its stage without losing its identity. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGlobal Stars Meet South African Ambition \n\n\n\nThe opening player announcement brings serious international credibility. \n\n\n\nTwo major champions\, Justin Rose and Bryson DeChambeau\, headline the first confirmed names alongside South Africa’s Casey Jarvis\, defending champion Kristoffer Reitan and Marco Penge. \n\n\n\nRose returns to Sun City after finishing runner-up in 2007\, while Jarvis arrives after securing back-to-back DP World Tour victories this season. \n\n\n\nFor South African golf fans\, Jarvis’ inclusion adds a particularly exciting layer.
