Happy Days

South African live band and production outfit 60 Hertz Project delivers a warm, groove-led new release titled Happy Days, out on Deeper Shades Recordings. Hailing from Ga-Rankuwa, Pretoria, the group has been active since 2009, steadily building a reputation for blending real musicianship with refined electronic production.

Moving fluidly between Jazzy House, Deep House, Lounge, and Soulful House, 60 Hertz Project first gained international recognition with their breakout single “Capricorn”, and Happy Days continues that journey with confidence and musical depth. The Main Mix sets the tone with uplifting chords, live instrumentation, and an easy, feel-good flow that lives up to its name.

The band follows this with a Broken Beat Mix, offering a more rhythm-driven, experimental take that highlights their versatility and live-band roots. Rounding out the release is a Lars Behrenroth Remix, a percussive, dancefloor-ready reinterpretation featuring Ezel on bass, adding extra movement and club energy while staying true to the track’s soulful core.

With Happy Days, 60 Hertz Project reinforces their place in South Africa’s forward-thinking house music scene—delivering a release that feels equally at home on relaxed listening sessions and late-night dancefloors.
