Sasha Keable, Langa Mavuso & Lia Butler Join WAV Festival Cape Town Line-Up

WAV Festival — a bold new cultural experience presented by Afro Nation — continues to build momentum as it prepares for its debut in Cape Town on 2 January 2026. Today, the festival unveils its highly anticipated second wave of artists, adding even more depth, soul and global flavour to its inaugural edition.

Following a widely celebrated first announcement, the festival now welcomes a powerful new cohort of artists who embody WAV’s vision for the future of R&B, soul and African diasporic sound.

A New Wave of Soulful Trailblazers

Leading the latest additions is Sasha Keable, the British-Colombian soul sensation celebrated for her diaristic songwriting, atmospheric vocals and emotionally honest performances. With collaborations alongside Disclosure and Jorja Smith, Sasha brings a deeply personal and magnetic presence to the WAV stage — marking one of the most anticipated performances of the festival.

Joining her is South Africa’s own Langa Mavuso, a beloved luminary whose poetic lyricism, stirring vocals and unmatched emotional depth have made him a defining voice of contemporary soul. Known for his vulnerable yet powerful performances, Langa promises a moving and unforgettable moment for festival-goers.

Also joining the line-up is rising South African artist Lia Butler, whose modern sonic edge and soulful intricacy have positioned her as one of the country’s most intriguing emerging talents. Her music blends texture, intimacy and bold creative expression.

They join the captivating Xowiè, an artist steadily gaining acclaim for her delicate tone, fluid artistry and genre-bending style that moves effortlessly between soul, R&B and alternative sound. Together, these additions reinforce WAV’s commitment to spotlighting breakthrough voices shaping the sound of tomorrow.

A Line-Up Aligned with WAV’s Vision

These new artists join the previously announced Mariah the Scientist and special guest Kelvin Momo, each representing a different facet of the festival’s unique cultural direction — rooted in soul, grounded in community and elevated by global creativity.

WAV Festival is crafted for music lovers, cultural explorers and style-forward audiences seeking an experience where sound, identity and place converge. Set against Cape Town’s iconic natural backdrop, the festival reimagines how culture can be shared, celebrated and elevated on African soil.
