Our Experience at DStv Delicious Festival 2025

Our Experience at DStv Delicious Festival 2025 Powered By LottoStar

Urban Lifestyle had the pleasure of being invited to the 2025 DStv Delicious Festival powered by LottoStar, and what an experience it was. The festival once again proved why it’s one of South Africa’s most celebrated cultural events, blending world-class music, fashion, and unforgettable vibes.

Even though I arrived a bit late and unfortunately missed some of the Sunday performances, nothing could prepare me for the magic that unfolded once the main acts hit the stage.

Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean – A Timeless Reunion

The energy shifted completely when Lauryn Hill graced the stage, looking absolutely stunning in her customized Thebe Magugu outfit. She effortlessly reminded us why she’s one of the greatest artists of our time, commanding the crowd with her voice, presence, and timeless hits.

Sharing the spotlight was Wyclef Jean, who came with nothing but fire. With his guitar in hand, he took us through some of his biggest collaborations, including the unforgettable “Hips Don’t Lie” with Shakira, and of course the massive hit “911.”

But the real magic came when the duo revisited The Fugees classics—songs that carry the spirit of old-school hip-hop. The crowd was transported back in time, and the nostalgia hit deep for those who grew up with their music.

A Beautiful Family Moment

One of the most special surprises was Lauryn Hill bringing out her children, YG Marley and Zion. For me, as a fan of YG, seeing him live on stage was incredible. His performance of his hit single was an unexpected gift, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement.

The Energy and Vibes

From start to finish, the atmosphere was everything. People were dancing, singing along, and losing themselves in the music. It wasn’t just about the performances—it was about the feeling of unity, joy, and celebration of music and culture that the DStv Delicious Festival always delivers.

Final Thoughts

The 2025 DStv Delicious Festival was an unforgettable experience. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and the surprise from YG Marley created memories that will live on for years to come. The vibes, the energy, and the performances were a reminder of why this festival is such a staple on South Africa’s cultural calendar.
