DStv Launches Shaka iLembe Match Challenge Game for Fans of the Hit Series

Some stories don’t end when the credits roll—and Shaka iLembe is one of them. As Season 2 continues to captivate audiences with its epic retelling of King Shaka’s origin and the rise of the Zulu nation, DStv has unveiled an exciting new way for fans to stay connected to the story: Match Challenge, an interactive puzzle game available exclusively in the MyDStv App.

Powered by DStv Rewards, Match Challenge is a free-to-play, match-three puzzle game where players align symbols like spears, drums, and shields to rack up points, trigger power-ups, and unlock Reward Boxes filled with gems, coins, and—most importantly—entries into exclusive competitions and prize draws.

The game forms part of the Arcade—a dedicated gaming hub inside the MyDStv App. It offers casual, short-format games themed around popular shows and live sport. From free BoxOffice movies to package upgrades and event tickets, players are rewarded for their engagement with content they already love.

Match Challenge is just the beginning. DStv Rewards and gamification partner Red Oxygen are preparing to launch two more Shaka iLembe-inspired games:

• Warriors Run – an endless runner set on the African savannah
• Mystery Kingdom – a hidden-object game with clues linked to in-episode content
