Flight of Hope by Suffocate SA

Suffocate SA returns to Sondela Recordings with ‘Flight of Hope’, a three-track single that continues his evolution as an artist and highlights his ability to seamlessly blend deep grooves with one-of-a-kind rhythmic energy. Following his 2023 Sondela debut titled ‘Rising Strong’, this release captures themes of adventure, growth, and resilience, delivering an emotionally rich sonic experience.

The opening track, ‘Chance Encounters’, is a masterful fusion of Afro House, Afrotech, and 3 Step. With its cinematic intro and emotive energy, it sets the tone for the EP, leaving a powerful impression that’s perfect for long drives or reflective moments.

Rat Race, Suffocate’s second collaboration with Thakzin following their work on Rising Strong, is a powerful dancefloor track born during the 2020 pandemic. The production captures the tension and uncertainty of that period while showcasing the duo’s effortless synergy. With driving rhythms and emotional depth, it reflects both Suffocate’s admiration for Thakzin as a mentor and their shared ability to create music that resonates deeply.

The title track, ‘Flight of Hope’, closes the release with uplifting melodies inspired by Suffocate’s first international performance and flight in 2024. Its adventurous and personal themes make it a fitting finale, celebrating milestones and personal growth.
