This season promises to delve deeper into the complexities of friendship, masculinity, and personal growth as the four friends face their greatest fears and desires.
It’s a transformative chapter for the group:
- Bonga (Thembinkosi Mthembu) navigates the challenges of married life.
- Vuyani (Luthando BU Mthembu) takes on the high-energy world of club ownership.
- Eric (Nhlanhla Kunene) adjusts to the structure of a 9-to-5 job.
- Mpho (Thabiso Rammusi) embarks on a new journey as a divorced father.
Zibuyile Dladla caught up with Thabiso Rammusi to discuss Mpho’s tumultuous journey, the impact of the show, and what fans can expect from this final season.
Reflecting on Powerful Moments
Thabiso’s favorite scene from the series? Season 2’s moment when Mpho receives divorce papers from Zithulele.
“After years of marriage, Mpho viewed Zithulele as obedient and forgiving. But his infidelity—and fathering a child with another woman—was the breaking point. Watching Zithulele reclaim her power was incredible. It forced Mpho to face accountability, setting the stage for Season 3, where viewers will see how he handles this new, more assertive Zithulele,”.

Mpho’s Redemption Arc
At the end of Season 2, Mpho was left lonely and grappling with strained relationships. Now, as Season 3 begins, he’s determined to rebuild his life and become a better father and co-parent.
“The void of divorce weighs heavily on him. The silence of an empty home takes its toll, motivating him to change. This season, Mpho is focused on mending his bond with his children while balancing personal desires with parental responsibilities,”.

But how far is Mpho willing to go to make amends?
“You’ll have to tune in to find out.”
Thabiso teases,
The Journey to Success
“We didn’t expect it to go beyond one season. The industry is unpredictable. But when Season 1 resonated with audiences, we knew we had something special. Now, gearing up for Season 3 feels surreal.”
Reflecting on Adulting’s rise to acclaim, Thabiso admitted,
For Thabiso, the show’s success lies in its relatability.
“It’s a fresh, authentic take on men’s experiences, struggles, and vulnerabilities in today’s world,”.

Lessons Learned from Mpho
“Mpho’s mistakes have taught me the value of honesty, especially in marriage and family life. Dishonesty has consequences—not just for you but for everyone around you,”.

Evolving Friendships
This season also explores the dynamic between Mpho and Bonga, who now looks to Mpho for marital advice.
“It’s a shift. Bonga, who once helped Mpho financially, now needs support. Mpho becomes a pillar for Bonga, using his own marital journey to guide his friend and help him avoid similar mistakes,”.

A Character’s Potential Growth
If Adulting continued beyond Season 3, Thabiso shared he would’ve loved to see Mpho’s growth as a father to a daughter.
“He’s already a great father to his twin sons, but raising a daughter brings new challenges and perspectives, especially as she grows. It would’ve been fascinating to explore how that impacts his relationships with women,”.
