Exte C Kwanele
Renowned deep house producer Exte C ventures into new sonic territories with his debut Afro-House EP, ‘Kwanele’. Known for his deep house roots, Exte C‘s decision to explore Afro House was driven by the overwhelming response he gets from his audience when he plays his afro-leaning tracks during live sets.
Collaborating with Darque on the opening track is a significant highlight. Despite the collaboration being unexpected, it yielded the EP’s titular track, ‘Kwanele.’ Exte C credits Darque with reinforcing his confidence in Afro House production, a genre Darque excels in. The process was a blissful experience that set the tone for the entire project.
The EP’s title, ‘Kwanele’, meaning “Enough,” reflects Exte C’s resolve to no longer hold back his Afro House prowess. It’s a declaration of his versatility as an all-round house producer. Each track tells a personal story, with “A Guy Called Enos” standing out as a heartfelt tribute to his younger brother, capturing the highs and lows of their journey.
