Samsung Galaxy Z flip5 Review
The new Samsung Galaxy Z flip5 has a large edge to edge cover display and a aluminum frame and glass. The flexible screen allows the phone to collapse from a standard smartphone size to a compact square clam-shell and the secondary outer screen let you perform some basic tasks while the phone is folded.
In the past these cover displays have been cute and interesting but they were just too small which really limited their usefulness.

The flex window display is quite customizable with plenty of interesting background to choose from. You can check your notifications from here and even respond to texts without having to open the phone and you can access your quick toggles settings on the flex window. You can take selfies easily and it’s also optimized for widgets rather than for android apps there are widgets for all sorts of different functions like a calendar the weather a compass and more.
You can add and even download additional widgets and there’s third party supporters as well and within the multi widget view were you can see a bunch of them all at once like an app drawer.
If you want to you, you can actually get some android apps to work on the display. You can enable this within the galaxy lab settings then you’ll be able to run five apps such as YouTube, Google Maps, Netflix, Google Messages and Samsung Messanger.

The inner screen has undergone some changes, it’s a 6.7 inch with a tentative resolution and a 120 HZ refresh rate that’s all the same as the previous version however this screen is a bit brighter.
The audio is a pair of stereo speakers, they have good loudness just like the previous model and the sound quality with clean vocals nice highs and decent low ends.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 comes with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage on board.
The phone includes features which support the secondary screen and besides that the phone will allow certain apps to split their interface into two including a touch pad to make better use of the two screens. This also comes in handy with the camera app allowing you to control the cameras or the phone acting as it’s own tripod.

Another major development on the Samsung Galaxy Z flip5 is the new chip-set which is the most powerful available on android phones right now.
The battery life of the Samsung Galaxy Z flip5 is a bit better this year. Since the cover screen is now more useful you may not need to open the phone as much, which means saving even more energy. The phone also had a support for wireless charging, however the phone doesn’t come with a charger but only a fast charge cable.
There aren’t any major differences to report for the cameras on the Z Flip4 and Z Flip5 — both models have 12 megapixel (MP) main and ultrawide cameras, and 10MP front (selfie) cameras.
Portrait mode shots look very good the subject detection is great and skin tones look good.

Lowlight shooting and photos look pretty great in dark conditions, the phone will automatically use night mode getting abundant detail lively colors and good dynamic range.
Video also has excellent, fine detail with mature processing colors, pleasantly saturated and a nicely wide dynamic range.
The Samsung Galaxy Z flip5 is designed to the next level with its large secondary screen and the new chip-set, brighter display, better battery life and improved hinge makes the phone worthwhile. The screen has a higher resolution and the water resistance is really well rounded. If you’re looking for a flip phone this is arguably the one to get.
