The alcohol industry has weathered some turbulent storms over the last few years, which, in one instance, saw it lose an estimated R45,1bn in retail sales revenue. To contribute towards the sector’s recovery, Makro is giving the local liquor industry a much-needed boost by partnering with South African liquor suppliers for its 2022 Makro Festive Liquor Catalogue.

The new local additions to Makro’s wine and gin selections include Mac G with his recently launched Grandeur Gin, Cassper Nyovest’s Billiato Liqueur, and TendaiThe BeastMtawarira’s locally produced The Beast Wine Collection.

Makro revealed its 2022 Festive Liquor Catalogue at the heart of Sandtons’ Biru Restaurant in a suave event launch on the 27th of October 2022 to showcase some of the industry’s respected alcohol brands that will feature in this year’s digital catalogue. 

This year, the retailer’s catalogue is driven by a unique and personalized customer engagement strategy that offers excellent value and variety to all the retailer’s customers through unique experiences and competitive price points across various categories.

Personalization and unique brand touchpoints

With personalization being the core focus for 2022, the Makro Festive Liquor Catalogue boasts high-end premium brands with distinctive barrels and a variety of affordable liquor offerings – for customers’ day-to-day and occasional consumption.
