Detroit has birthed many great electronic musicians & producers, one of these greats is a wonderful man who goes by the name ‘John Briggs’.

John ‘Zoetic’ Briggs has releases and remixes under some of the world’s most respected house labels, such as Vega Records, Yoruba Records, Inner Muse and of course, Atjazz Record Company.

With a clear vision, one can hear that Johns musical roots are in Jazz, African Rhythms & of course, Deep House and Techno, but it’s what he does with this jumble of styles that is so intriguing. John is a storyteller without a doubt, as his songs read out brilliant journeys of adversity and defiance.

Where there is House & Techno, there is emotion! and this very accomplished album entitled ‘Caged Birds’ is spilling over with so much of it. John’s attention to detail in his production work is very apparent, he lays fidgety melodies over the deepest chunky chords and fizzing pads as floating beats glide through and hold everything together; Jazz guitars, deep distant vocals & sax elevate the vibe to create wonderful & magical audio vistas throughout.
