The world’s second-largest Scotch whisky brand Ballantine’s is shaking things up in the music space like never before. The brand is continuously pushing the bar by celebrating the authenticity and audacious spirit of the global campaign There’s No Wrong Way

Ballantine’s South Africa has partnered with local music game-changers in highlighting these pioneering sounds. The globally recognized afro-tech DJ, businessman and entrepreneur Shimza, joins the Tsonga Michael Jackson and Selema hitmaker Musa Keys, and amapiano giant DJ Stokie in this thrilling second EP of There’s No Wrong Way to Remix; a concept that celebrates the great South African classic hit tracks by adding their own signature sounds that creates a one of a kind remix.

Since the launch of this campaign, the masses have witnessed Shimza spread the afro-tech dominance throughout all parts of the world through his projects, tours and experiential house music events.

As the face of Ballantine’s South Africa, Shimza is firmly adding his distinct sound to everything he gets his hands on. Earlier this year Shimza remixed the iconic Weekend Special by the late music icon Brenda Fassie, the track is available on all digital streaming platforms, listen HERE

The masses have once again decided on which track they would like to have remixed by Shimza, and after numerous votes Bongo Maffin‘s iconic track Thathisigubhu made the cut. You can listen to the track HERE.

“I got to remix songs I grew up listening to, big songs! The pressure of delivering a remix that will take people back to some of their greatest nostalgic moments is something else, especially if it is done well, which I think I’ve delivered with these remixes”.

said the face of Ballantine’s South Africa, Shimza

The first instalment of There’s No Wrong Way to Remix was introduced by Sowetan award winning DJ Stokie when he produced a four track Ballantine‘s There’s No Wrong Way to Remix EP, which featured recent hits such as DJ Zinhles‘s Indlovu, Micasa‘s hit track Mamela as well as two iconic kwaito hits by M’du and Trompies
