SAFTA award-winning actor, Lawrence Maleka has returned to reality TV as the official host of SABC 1’s brand new dating show ‘TOO HOT TO BE SINGLE’, after a 4-year presenting hiatus.

Too Hot to Be Single is a modern dating game show designed to find a match for people who rate themselves as hot property; using recognizable methods from dating apps and social media. Set in a studio, Too Hot to Be Single features a hot single who is looking for an equally hot date. Led by Lawrence, six hopeful matches will go through a series of trials to impress the hot single.

Throughout his illustrious career, having a show on SABC 1 has been a career goal for Lawrence Maleka. Lawrence is eager to host the new  SABC 1 show as it will allow him to dazzle and captivate a whole new audience with his wit, charm, talent, and prowess.

In the spirit of entertainment, the show strives to show both the jovial nature of dating while also poking fun at the vanity and insecurities of modern dating. 

The show will showcase the unpredictability of chemistry while revealing some truths about the nature of attraction. Ultimately, the show will strive to create romantic connections between people who may have otherwise never met.
