On 19th March 2021, Reel People release new single Deja Vu
Featuring Grammy-nominated US singer-songwriter Raheem DeVaughn, the track is a silky-smooth soul sonnet that layers DeVaughn’s stunning vocals over heavenly beats, keys and bass guitar licks. Rather aptly too, given the title, it puts us in mind of things that have already come to pass – chiefly Reel People’s pedigree for classic, soulful groove and tight, musical production. Albeit here the collective hits crazy new emotional highs.
Deja Vu precedes three-track EP Hearts Collide, which drops this April. Produced by the collective’s core trio Oli Lazarus, Mike Patto and Toni Economides, and weaving contemporary R&B vibes into the collective’s uniquely soulful flow, Hearts Collide features Deja Vu alongside two sublime new tracks fronted by accomplished Atlanta songstress Paula.
Reel People have built considerable momentum of late, last autumn’s plaudit-grabbing release of single I Never Knew and follow-up EP Dancing On The Moon their first new material in over a decade and the perfect temperature-check for what’s to come this year. Rest assured, it’s going to be a hot one….
