Mhlangabezi Ngongoma – stage name = MHLARA is a south African rapper, singer, songwriter who is about to drop his debut EP – Hook Me Up.

At only 21 years of age, Mhlara is ready to show the world what he is made of – and give his fans what they have been waiting for. Born in the n Eastern Cape, in a small town called Mount frere and raised by a single parent, Mhlara started writing music back in 2012 at the age of 15 and he came to Johannesburg to further his studies and focus on his music career.

He dropped his first single in 2017 titled Segfikile. Now, he is ready to drop his full EP ‘Hook Me Up’ which also features the first single, the same titled ‘Hook Me Up which features the vocal stylistics of Yuri Zayne.

“ I decided to name the EP HOOK ME UP because the story behind this project is all about personal things tI’ve been through as an individual and also is dedicated to all youngster’s out there, who are hustling and trying to make it in life. My message to them is that they mustn’t rely on anyone else, but make it happen for themselves”.

Hook Me Up is out on 30 November 2018
